The Alberta Acoustics Conference and Acoustics Week in Canada will merge in Calgary, Alberta for 2025 for the Canadian Acoustics Conference 2025.

The Canadian Acoustics Conference 2025 will bring together professionals, researchers, students and practitioners from across the country for two and a half days of knowledge-sharing, discussion, networking, and inspiration.

Hosted in collaboration between Alberta Acoustics, Noise & Vibration Society (AANViS) and the Canadian Acoustical Association (CAA), this event will offer a unique blend of academic insight and real-world application.

From industrial noise and vibration challenges to architectural acoustics and regulatory updates, the conference will bridge research and practice across disciplines, and Canada.

🎀 Call for Presentations and Panel Discussions – Now Open

Presentation abstracts and panel discussion topics are currently being accepted. Whether you want to share research, case studies, innovations, or practical insights, we’d love to hear from you.

Presentations will typically run 20 to 30 minutes, as determined by the organizers based on the topic. Panel discussions may be longer, depending on content and structure.

Deadline for submission is May 31, 2025 5PM MDT

Note: Presenters will have the option to give a presentation only or to submit a paper for publication through the Canadian Acoustical Association (CAA). The default is presentation only. If you wish to publish a paper, you must indicate this during submission. Applicable presentations will be forwarded to the CAA following submission through the AANViS website. A separate submission is not required. All papers will be reviewed by the CAA under their standard journal process.

  • Wednesday, Oct 15: Full-day conference sessions (9 am to 4 pm),
    CAA AGM 5 pm (TBC)
  • Thursday, Oct 16: Full-day conference sessions (9 am to 4 pm) + evening event
  • Friday, Oct 17: Half-day conference sessions (9 am to 1 pm) + optional evening pub social

All sessions are expected to be held in the main presentation room, with a focus on clarity, connection, and shared learning.
